7U Spring Development Clinic

Our 7U Development Series is designed to introduce young players to the game the right way. We focus on throwing, fielding, athletic movement, and introductory pitching in a structured environment that builds confidence, teaches proper habits, and creates a strong developmental foundation.

Ages

Appropriate for players ages 6–7 with an interest in learning and developing the fundamentals of baseball in a structured, age-appropriate environment.


Any 5-year-old player interested in participating must be evaluated and approved by our staff prior to acceptance into the program.

When

This 6-week spring clinic series runs on Friday evenings from April 17 through May 21.


Sessions run from 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM each Friday. Players should arrive a few minutes early and be ready to begin promptly at 5:30 PM.

Where

All training sessions for this program will take place at Hanover Baseball & Softball, located at 21 Leslie Ct., Whippany, NJ (formerly Extra Innings).

1. Who is this program for?

Not in the traditional sense. This series is designed first and foremost as a development opportunity, but it will also allow our staff to evaluate players for potential summer team opportunities within the Rawlings Tigers program.


4. Do players need prior baseball experience?

No extensive experience is required, though players should have a basic understanding of the game. This program is intended for young players who are ready to learn, improve, and respond to coaching in a structured environment.


5. When does the program take place?

The program runs on Friday evenings from April 17 through May 21.

  • Baseball glove
  • Bat
  • Helmet
  • Water bottle
  • Athletic clothing / sneakers or turf shoes


9. Will all players be offered a summer team spot?


No. Participation in the clinic does not guarantee placement on a summer team. Select players may be identified for future opportunities based on skill level, coachability, effort, and overall fit within the Rawlings Tigers environment.


10. What makes this different from a typical local clinic?


This series is designed to do more than just keep players active. It introduces young players to the game in a structured, developmental environment while also giving families exposure to the coaching, standards, and culture of the Rawlings Tigers program.
